Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently competing with the UFC flyweight division. She is older than fellow UFC fighter and previous UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her career as a Muay Thai boxer. She made her debut in 2003 at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the tournament and defeated Suzane Mill at the end of the tournament by a unanimous verdict. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007 and a medal that was bronze in 2008 as well as an award of gold in the year 2011. Then she won the title of IFMA Amateur Muaythai World Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional career in 2003, and she won in the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina's last fight was at Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. She was victorious by an unanimous decision. Antonina Shevchenko shattered her debut professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She won the second-round TKO fight, and the subsequent two matches at the WXF: X-Impact World Championships in 2003, resulting in the record being 3-0. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to work on her kickboxing, and she returned to the ring to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by unanimous decision, before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her impressive striking ability when she clinched by her knees against her body. Antonina's UFC contract was extended in the wake of this win. Antonina did her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, in a fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious with a unanimous decision. She lost her second fight with Roxanne Modafferi by split decision. Antonina rebounded from her loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission during the second round of UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned her second fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko had a 1-2 record in the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, however she lost to Katlyn Chokagian as well as Andrea Lee.
