Ky-Mani's birthplace in Falmouth Jamaica on 26th February 1976, is among the most famous and rich Reggae singers. Shottas was a classic movie that featured him along with another artist Wyclef. Ky-Mani recorded his first album, titled Like Father Like Son in 1996. It was then followed with Dear Dad", which was a top-ranked album in the British chart of reggae. Ky-Mani performed with Praswell from Fugees in the song Avenue in 1997. The song was a hugely popular cover of Eddy Grant's Electric Avenue. Marley was the first performer to perform at Midem in Miami the world's largest showcase of musical talent. Marley gave a concert at the Cameo Theatre that was broadcasted live in 36 different countries. Marley became the subject of bidding battles. He signed with Gee Street/V2 Records in 1997 where he completed a collaboration with label mate P.M. Dawn was the singer of Gotta To Movin on Up.
